31 Years Old WANTED FOR 1ST DEGREE MURDERED DOB 1-1-68 5'8", 150 LBS BROWN EYES, BLACK HAIR On September 3, 1999, Lawrence "Don" Brooks was reported as missing to the Miami County Sheriff's department. On September 10, 1999, the dismembered body of Mr. Brooks was retrieved from a large plastic trash can found floating in Walden Pond near 66th and Bradshaw Road, Shawnee, KS. The lid to the trash container had been attached with a chain and padlock. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Mr. Brooks died as a result of blunt-force trauma, and that the dismemberment occurred post-mortem. The investigation is concentrated on a former employee of Mr. Brooks, Elmahi Mohamed-Zian, a Sundanese National. It is believed that Zian is actively eluding the authorities and may have in fact fled the country. A $5,000 reward has been established for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of Zian.
