On December 13, 1998, the bodies of Robin Vasques, Howard Franks, and Thomas Dinkel were discovered in Kinsley, Kansas. The apparent date of the homicides was December 11, 1998. All three victims had been shot in the head.

The investigation is concentrated on the estranged husband of Robin Vasquez, Martin Vasques-Arroyo. A warrant for his arrest has been issued charging him with three counts of First Degree Murder, two counts of Theft, and one count each Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Burglary.

A $5,000 reward has been established for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Martin Vasquez.
