Mr. Rinke was found murdered in his residence located in southeast rural Jefferson County, Kansas on October 14th, 1999.

Shortly before 10:00 PM on October 14th, 1999 Mr. Rinke had called 911 and reported that he had been shot. When officers arrived they found no forced entry at the locked gate to the property. There was no evidence of burglary.

A $5,000 reward has been established for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime.
